PJ Harvey's just wonderful - White Chalk was like poetry. Not my favourite of her albums, but pretty damn close.

And you like Tori Amos and Rory/Logan!

Definitely adding ♥

I just loved how different it was. What amazes me about PJ Harvey is her range. It was an interesting change to hear her so much softer in White Chalk.

Tori Amos is brilliant too. And yay for Rory/Logan! Have you seen season 7 of Gilmore Girls?

Oh, I know! So many artists just release the same album over and over again. I was so impressed that she learned the piano from scratch, too.

Yes! My cousin bought the DVDs off Amazon. Have you seen it? I was going to start abusing it, but I don't want to spoil anything for you...

Exactly. All of her albums are so different.

Yep I've just seen it! Feel free to abuse away. It pissed me off so much.

Hi! So I just stumbled over here from theoffice_us community after you posted your brilliant picspam. It turns out we have a whole heck of a lot in common. Would you mind if I added you as a friend?

Um, no.

Are you kidding? ADDING YOU RIGHT NOW ♥♥

Sorry I've been so non-existent. I just have no time. Work, work, friends, eat, work, sleep, work, work, work, sleep, work, work, work, work, work. I want my life back :( I'll have to catch up properly when I get back (I'm seeing Frost/Nixon with Dad in 20 minutes - seriously, no time).

Dude you have no idea how much I understand you! Its crazy how busy you get once you don't have any uni classes to procrastinate over! I just made sure I commented coz I wanted to be kept around (and also, keep you around!) so yeah, don't stress, and good luck with the business!
(Also, I expect a review of Frost/Nixon. I totally wanna see it!)

Hi, just stumbled upon you over at Amelia's ([livejournal.com profile] dramatic_sigh) and thought about asking to be added. But really, you have to add me, your taste in music cracked me up. I've never found anyone else who likes those bands AND Madonna. LOL
So, please? :)

God, I'm so sorry it's taken such a ridiculous amount of time for a reply! I'm working two jobs at the moment, and I've had a bunch of friends in from out of town, so I've literally had NO time for LJing. Trying to change that though!

Anyway, absolutely I'll add you! Madonna's awesome :P My parents have her first album on vinyl, which I'm planning to steal someday.

Also, YAY for Interpol!

It's alright :) I'm pretty busy at the moment myself. But I'm happy you added me.

(I only stole Madonna CDs from my dad, haha)

Hi! I found you through [livejournal.com profile] ohnotheydidnt (in your mightily impressive argument with someone calling Twilight literature) and had to have a look at your profile. Turns out we have rather a lot of things in common--half of your favourite actors I love, and most of your favourite TV shows, but, the kicker: you like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang! Not enough people like that movie.

Anyway, thought I'd say hi, and, you know, friends? I always love finding people to fangirl with.

Oh, GOD. The argument that wouldn't die. Most of the time I just shut my mouth online because it's just not worth it. But I think I was in a particularly Twilight-hating mood at the time.

But at least something good came out of it! Absolutely friends! More people should love Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, it's so amazing! I love all the references to Raymond Chandler.

I nearly punched my computer, and I was only reading the thing! I am most impressed though. And that article killed any remaining... I can't say love... feelings (I did love to hate it) I have for the series. How dare they suggest it is more sophisticated than Harry Potter! *ahem* Sorry. I'm rather protective of HP at the moment.

I do love it so, though I have to make myself look silly pretty much straight away, because I don't know who Raymond Chandler is. :S *hides*

I wanted to scream, really. I was making sense, then? Yay! I'm convinced she was just messing with me, which just infuriates me even more. It's too hard for me to accept that someone can be that stupid.

Yeah, I want to hug Harry Potter right now. I've missed it so much! I'm even reading fanfic again. I miss the old days.

Oh don't worry bb - I probably only really know him because I had to study him. Raymond Chandler pretty much invented the hard boiled detective genre. The whole movie is like an homage to his work - all the chapter titles are titles of his novels ('The Simple Art of Murder', 'Farewell, My Lovely', etc), and the Johnny Gossamer thing is like a send-up of his character Philip Marlowe.

All it does is make an already awesome movie even more awesome. You should read some of his stuff though! I remember him being pretty funny :D Although the plots are always really convoluted (which they were also kind of poking fun at in the movie)

And you had the added bonus of actually being able to spell and construct sentences. I guess it's just ironic that she spent so much effort telling others that they had a problem with comprehension, when it was her that had trouble writing something comprehensible. Anyway. People. *sigh*

Ooh, me too! There's some really great fanfic out there, too. And the really scary ones! (Why on earth would someone ship Fred/George? It boggles my brain.) I am craving new Potter. Even that encyclopaedia that JK was talking about. That would be all kinds of fabulous.

Ah, I assumed it was a send-up of someone's books, I just never knew who. Now I can pretend I always knew that! ;)
